Janie Askew received her MFA in Printmaking from the University of Georgia and her BFA in Printmaking from East Carolina University. “Askew grabs you, shakes you up and leaves you just astounded. The tightly feminist gaze and her uber skilled hand generate outstanding drawn works, complex in their abstract forms, interwoven bodies, textural intensity and social political accusations (Didi Dunphy).” Askew has been featured in Creative Quarterly: The Journal of Art and Design; a publication ran out of NY, New York and most recently exhibited two works in the Bradley International Print Exhibition.
